How to view an individual FAQ's statistics

While the LibAnswers Statistics module provides you with an overview of knowledge base growth and public page views by FAQ group, you can also find more detailed statistics for each individual FAQ entry.


Viewing stats by month via the Knowledge Base Explorer

To view a quick breakdown of an FAQ's views by month:

  1. Go to Answers > FAQ Entries.
  2. Use the filters under the  FAQ Entries tab to narrow the list of FAQs, if needed.
    1. To quickly sort your FAQs by total number of views, click on the Views column.
    2. To export the monthly public page view statistics for the current list, click on the  Export Views by Month tab to generate and download a CSV file.
  3. Locate the FAQ you want to analyze, then click on its Monthly link in the Views column.
    • This will open the Stats by Month window, showing you the total number of views broken down by month and source.
      • Views: the total number of public page views.
      • API: the total number of API views.
      • Email: the total number of times this FAQ was shared via email (through LibAnswers).
      • Twitter: the total number of times this FAQ was shared via Twitter (through LibAnswers).
      • Facebook: the total number of times this FAQ was shared via Facebook (through LibAnswers).
    • Stats will be shown for each month since the FAQ's creation date.

Viewing total views, shares, and votes

  1. Go to Answers > FAQ Entries.
  2. Locate the FAQ you want to analyze and click on its question to edit it.
  3. On the Edit FAQ page, click on the Statistics panel to expand it. This will display a breakdown of total views, shares, and votes for the FAQ (Reuse only applies if you are using shared systems).
    1. To view a month-by-month breakdown of these stats, click on the View monthly breakdown of views/shares link.
