How to disable the classic LibChat dashboard for all users

We are really excited to introduce our new and improved LibChat dashboard! It has been redesigned from the ground up to be easier to monitor, chat (with patrons and coworkers), and manage. Currently, staff can choose to use either the new or classic dashboard views. That way, they can get to know the new interface at their own pace. The new dashboard is completely connected to your LibChat settings and widgets, so you can use it to chat with patrons, claim tickets, etc., just as you would with the classic dashboard.

If you would like to complete transition all of your users over to the new dashboard, however, you can do so in your LibChat settings. Just go to Admin > LibChat Set-up and click on the Settings tab.

      1. However, they can use the new dashboard at any time by going to LibChat > New Chat Dashboard.
    • New: when selected, users will see the new LibChat dashboard when signing in (either via the LibAnswers dashboard, or by selecting LibChat > Connect from the command bar). Please note: the classic dashboard will be completely hidden and cannot be accessed when this is enabled.
