FAQs: Manage deleted FAQs in your LibAnswers trash can
Any FAQ deleted from a group is sent to the temporary Trash Can. This gives you the opportunity to restore the FAQ to its group before it's permanently deleted from the system.
FAQs will remain in the Trash Can for 30 days before being automatically (and permanently) deleted. You will see FAQs from any group that you have admin access to, when the FAQ was created, when it was sent to the trash, and the name of the user that deleted it.
To access the Trash Can for FAQs, Admins and Regular accounts with group-level admin permissions can:
- Go to Admin > Trash Can.
- Click on the FAQs tab.

Permanently delete FAQs
Once you've reviewed and confirmed that the FAQs in the Trash Can can be deleted, you can permanently delete them from here or allow the 30-day window to pass and have them deleted automatically. If you want to delete them now you can:
- Select FAQs to be deleted individually by clicking the checkbox in the Id column for each FAQ.
- Or, select every FAQ in the Trash Can by clicking the Select All checkbox.
- Once you've selected your FAQs, select Permanently Delete from the Action dropdown menu.
- Then click the Apply button to permanently delete the FAQs.

Restore deleted FAQs
If there is a FAQ—or a whole bunch of FAQs—that were deleted accidentally, you have 30 days to rescue them from the Trash Can.
To restore your FAQs:
- Select FAQs to be restored individually by clicking the checkbox in the Id column for each FAQ.
- Or, select every FAQ in the Trash Can by clicking the Select All checkbox.
- Once you've selected your FAQs, select Restore from the Action dropdown menu.
- Then click the Apply button to return the FAQs back to the group they came from.
