LibAuth: Add a new SirsiDynix Horizon configuration

Getting there

To create and manage your LibAuth profiles, go to LibApps > Admin > LibAuth Authentication.

LibApps admin-level users can access LibAuth settings via the LibApps dashboard, under Admin > LibAuth Authentication.

Before setting up your new Symphony configuration, you'll want to work with your IT staff on the following:

Server Information

  • We use the Horizon Web Services API to talk to your Horizon server and allow patrons to log in via LibAuth. Please consult Horizon documentation or support to enable this service in your instance of Horizon.
  • Obtain the URL for your Horizon API and your Horizon Client Identifier.

Add a SirsiDynix Horizon configuration

  1. If you have not yet created a LibAuth configuration, skip to Step 2. Otherwise, click on the Add Configuration button to create another one.

  1. Below the Search for Your Institution dropdown, click on the Manual Configuration link.

  1. Select SirsiDynix Horizon as your authentication protocol.

  1. In the Horizon URL field, enter the URL for your Horizon API.
  2. In the Client Identifier field, enter your Horizon Client ID.

  1. Give your configuration a name.
  2. If you'd like, you can also provide notes or details about this configuration for your reference.
  3. Click the Save Configuration button.
