What are data submission notices?

The optional data submission notification helps you alert your patrons to what personal information you collect in order to create a booking. This gives you an opportunity to let your patrons know why you collect particular data on registration forms, what that data is used for, etc. When enabled, this will appear in all room, space, equipment, appointment, and event booking registration forms and widgets.

Getting there

To customize your system's privacy notifications, go to Admin > System Settings and click on the Privacy Settings tab.

Enabling data submission notices

Both data submission notices are disabled by default.

  1. To enable this notice on public booking forms, set the Enable data submission notice on LibCal screens option to Yes.
  2. To enable this notice on booking widget forms, set the Enable data submission notice on LibCal Widgets option to Yes.

To customize the text that displays in the data submission notification on public booking forms:

  1. Enter your message in the text area field.
  2. ​Click the Save button.
