Events: Customize the Daily List View calendar template

In this article

The layout templates for your public calendar page views have two major components:

  • HTML code: this provides the structure for the templates.
  • Tags: these insert content from the event into the template. For example, the {{title}} tag will display the event's title wherever it's placed in the HTML code of your template.

When working with tags, it's important to keep in mind the following:

  • Tags are case sensitive.
  • If a tag is displaying text content only, it should be enclosed in double braces.
    • For example, the event's title is a text-only field, so you would use {{title}}.
  • If a tag is displaying HTML content, it should be enclosed in triple braces.
    • For example, since the event's description can contain rich text formatting, you would use {{{description}}}.
  • To show a tag's content only if the field contains a value, put it inside of a section (i.e. {{#tagname}}...{{/tagname}}).
    • For example: {{#presenter}}<p><strong>Presenter:</strong> {{presenter}}</p>{{/presenter}} will only display the content between the {{#presenter}} and {{/presenter}} tags as long as the event's Presenter field is not empty.

Each template will have its own set of available tags. Consult the Available Template Tags list for that template to see which are available.
