Equipment: Limit how far in advance users can book a category's items (i.e. window limit)

In this article

Within an equipment category's booking limits, you can also set how many days in advance users can book items in that category via the Window Limit option.

To customize this setting for a category:

  1. Go to Admin > Spaces & Equipment.
Selecting Equipment & Spaces from the Admin menu
  1. Under the Locations tab, find the location containing the category you want to move and click on its link in the Equipment column.
Clicking on a location's link in the Equipment column
  1. Under the Equipment & Categories tab, click on your category's Cog () button and select Edit Category from the dropdown.
Clicking a category's Edit Category button
  1. Click on the Booking Limits tab and scroll down to the Availability Window Limit panel.
  2. In the Window Limit field, enter how many days in the future users can browse availability times and book items.
    • For example, a value of 0 would limit bookings to the current day only, while a value of 1 would limit the booking window to the following day.
    • This only applies to the public booking pages. Staff users can override this limit when adding bookings under Spaces > Availability.
  3. In the Rollover Time field, enter the time of day you want new time slots to become available. In other words: what time of day do you want the window limit to roll over to the next date?
    • For example, if you enter a rollover time of 23:59, then at 23:59 (11:59pm) each day, the window limit will move forward one day.
    • So imagine today is May 1 and you have a 3-day window limit: at 23:59 on May 1, the dates that patrons book will roll over from May 1 - 3 to May 2 - 4.
  4. Click the Save button.
