Equipment: Change an equipment booking's item, start time, or end time

For existing equipment bookings, you can adjust the item(s) that are booked as well as the start and end times for the booking as needed. These changes can be made from the Booking Grid & Availablity tab, the Check Out tab, the Check In tab, or from the Booking Explorer.


Selecting a location and category

  1. After going to Equipment > Booking Grid & Availability, at the top of the page, use the dropdown to select the location containing the equipment you want to view.
  2. Under the Booking Grid & Availability tab, select the category of equipment you want to view from the Category dropdown and click the Go button. This will display the booking grid for items in that category.

Option 1. Via the Availability tab

  1. Under the Booking Grid & Availability tab, click on the booking slot you want to edit in the availability grid.

  1. The Booking Details panel will appear below the grid, containing the info and notes about the booking. Click on the Date/Time to edit that booking's item and/or dates.

  1. In the Update Booking dialog box, you can select a different item and/or booking times:
    1. Use the New Item dropdown to select a different item. (Please note that you may have to adjust the times based upon the availability of the new item.)
    2. Use the New Start Date/Time field to adjust the starting time of the booking.
    3. Use the New End/Due Date field to adjust the ending time of the booking.
    4. If you would like to also send the patron an email about these changes, select the Send confirmation email to user checkbox.
    5. If you opted to send an email, use the Additional Information to add a message to the notification. This will be included in the location's "Confirmed" email template wherever the {{{ADDITIONAL_INFORMATION}}} token is inserted.
  2. Click the Update Booking button.

Option 2. Via the Check Out tab

  1. Click on the Check Out tab.
  2. If needed, you can use the filters to locate the booking(s) you want to edit. To update the list, click the Go button.
  3. Once you've located the booking, click on its Return time.

  1. In the Update Booking dialog box, you can select a different item and/or booking times:
    1. Use the New Item dropdown to select a different item. (Please note that you may have to adjust the times based upon the availability of the new item.)
    2. Use the New Start Date/Time field to adjust the starting time of the booking.
    3. Use the New End/Due Date field to adjust the ending time of the booking.
    4. If you would like to also send the patron an email about these changes, select the Send confirmation email to user checkbox.
    5. If you opted to send an email, use the Additional Information to add a message to the notification. This will be included in the location's "Confirmed" email template wherever the {{{ADDITIONAL_INFORMATION}}} token is inserted.
  2. Click the Update Booking button.

Option 3. Via the Check In tab

  1. Click on the Check In tab.
  2. If needed, you can use the filters to locate the booking(s) you want to edit. To update the list, click the Go button.
  3. Click on its Due time.
