Equipment: Confirm a patron's tentative booking

When 2-step email verification has been enabled for a location instead of requiring the patron to confirm the booking from their email, staff can confirm tentative bookings for a patron from the admin-side. This can be done from the Availability tab and from the Booking Explorer.


Via the Booking Grid & Availability tab

  1. Log into LibCal and click on Equipment in the navigation bar.
  2. Navigate to the Location for the booking.
  3. Select the Category for the booking.
  4. Under the Booking Grid & Availability tab, click on the booking in the availability grid.
  5. In the Booking Details panel that appears, click on the  Confirm Booking button.

  1. In the Confirm Tentative Booking window, click the Confirm Booking button to proceed.

The booking's status will be updated to either Confirmed, Confirmed (Payment Pending), or Mediated Tentative depending upon whether billing or mediation is enabled for the booking.


Via the Booking Explorer

  1. After running the Booking Explorer, click on the Booking ID to display its Booking Details in a modal window.

  1. On the Booking Details modal, click the  Confirm Booking button.
