(Beta) AZ List Management: Add announcements / page alerts to the public A-Z Database List and individual databases
The Alerts & Announcements settings allow you to quickly and easily add banner alerts to the top of every public A-Z page and to make your patrons (and staff) aware of an ongoing issue with specific databases by adding database-level alerts. These options can be used to alert your patrons (and staff) about an issue that affects your institution's databases—perhaps there is an issue with your proxy system, a network connectivity problem that folks should be made aware of, or a planned outage with a specific database.

Getting there
To customize the A-Z Page Announcements and/or to add Database Issue Alerts:
- From the Content dropdown, select AZ List Management (Beta).

- In the sidebar under A-Z Databases, click on Alerts & Announcements to open the page.

Report an issue with a database
If you need to make your patrons (and staff) aware of an ongoing issue with a specific database, you can use the Database Issue Alerts feature to add a temporary alert message to an individual database. When the Database Issue is active for a database, the message will be displayed on the public A-Z Database List, the database's individual landing page, when editing the database, and when viewing the QuickView for the database from the AZ List Management page.

To clear or edit an existing issue with a database
Once the issue with the database has been resolved or if you need to provide your users with an update to the issue, you can quickly remove/edit the issue with the database.
- While on the A-Z Database > Alerts & Announcements page, scroll down to the Database Issue Alerts panel.
- Locate the existing issue in the datatable of database alerts and click the Edit Alert () icon to make changes to the existing alert or click the Remove Alert (Remove item from list) icon to clear the database's alert.
