Clock in and out for a shift

Clocking in

If your schedule admin has enabled the time clock for your schedule, you will be required to clock in when you start your assigned shift.

  1. Sign into your LibStaffer user account and click on the Clock In tab in the orange command bar.
  2. In the Clock In window, a summary of the shift you are clocking in for will display along with the current system time. If you would like to add an optional note about this shift for your schedule admin, enter it in the text box.
  3. Click on the Clock In button.
  4. Once you've been clocked in, a confirmation will display that confirms the time. Click the Close button to finish.

Restrictions to clocking in

  1. You can only clock in within a certain window of time, up to one hour before or after your shift starts.
    • This limit is set by your schedule admin.
    • If you clock in too early or too late, you will see a message saying no shifts were found within the Clock In time boundaries for the day.
  2. Your schedule admin may require you to clock in from specific IP addresses (i.e. a specific device, or from a specific wireless network).
    • If you are on a device outside of the acceptable IP addresses, you will see a message that clocking in from your IP address is not allowed.
