Quizzes: Create, copy, & manage quizzes

In this article

Quizzes are ideal for assessing learning and gaining immediate insight into user understanding. Such as:

  • Pre/post instruction quizzes
  • Information literacy skills
  • Employee onboarding training

You can add several different types of text input and multiple choice fields to a quiz, assign correct answers to them to automatically grade each submission, require correct answers before the user can proceed, and instantly provide feedback to users by showing them their results upon completion.

Getting there

From the LibWizard dashboard, navigate to the Quizzes page.

  1. Either click on the Quizzes link in the command bar
  2. Or, click on the Quizzes menu item on the dashboard

Creating a new quiz

  1. Click on the Create New button.
The Create New button
  1. Select "blank slate" from the Start With dropdown.
  2. In the Name field, give your new quiz a name. This will serve as the page title for your quiz, as well.
  3. Optionally, you can give your quiz a friendly URL to make it easier to share and remember.
    • For example, if you are creating an instruction quiz for your library, you could give it a friendly URL of pre-test. The full URL would then look something like: https://yourlibrary.libwizard.com/f/pre-test
    • Friendly URLs can contain only alphanumeric characters, dashes, and underscores -- no spaces.
  4. You also have the option of giving your quiz a description. This is only for internal use and does not display on the public quiz.

Any LibWizard user can create folders, but Regular users can only edit or delete their own folders. Additionally, Regular users can only move the quizzes that they own or have editing permission for.

Note: when viewing a folder, the Create New button will automatically assign the newly created quiz to that folder.
