Displaying embedded media as a slide's content

In this article

Each slide in your tutorial consists of two parts:

  • A question/information column, containing text, questions, and other data entry fields.
  • Slide content, such as a website, LibGuides, and embedded media.

When creating standalone tutorials, you can display embedded media, such as video or audio players. This is great if you have a YouTube video, Vimeo video, or any other type of streaming media. As long as the vendor provides you with HTML embed code, you're ready to get started.

Adding a new slide

When adding a new slide to your tutorial, you can choose to display embedded media as its content.

  1. While editing your tutorial, click on the Add Slide button in the Slide Area.

  2. Select the Embedded Media (e.g. video) option as the Slide Content.
  3. In the text area, enter the HTML code provided by the widget or media provider.
  4. If you would like to automatically scale your embedded content to fit the size of the tutorial frame, leave the Full Width checkbox selected.
    • When enabled, this will allow the content to adjust automatically to the size of the user's screen.
