Queues: Customizing a queue's language options

In this article

To access a queue's Language options go to Admin > Queues > Edit Queue () icon for the queue > Language tab.

Base Language

The base language of your queue sets the language used for the public-facing parts of your queue (such as the question form). If your language is not listed, please contact Springy Support and we will work with you to add the translation file to LibAnswers.

  1. Select your preferred language from the Base Language dropdown.
  2. Save your changes.

Custom Language

You can further customize the various labels and text used throughout your queue in your Custom Language options. This allows you to customize things like the label of the "More Detail/Explanation" field of your question form, or error messages like "Please answer all required questions".

  1. Labels and text are grouped based upon where they're found in your queue. Click on the category to view all of the available labels.
  2. Find the label you want to change in the Default Language column.
    1. Not sure where that text appears? Hover over the "info" link for more info.
  3. Enter your custom text in the Local Customization column.
    • Some of the labels contain characters like %s or %s2$s. These are placeholders for text that will be inserted by LibAnswers on the public page. The "info" link next to the label's Local Customization field will explain what the characters represent.
    • To revert to the Default Language, leave the Local Customization field blank.
  4. Save your changes.
Note: If your system-wide base language is the same as your queue's base language, any changes applied at the system-level will trickle down to your queue. You can override these customizations using your queue's Custom Language options.
