View and export your FAQ statistics

Your FAQ statistics provide you with two key metrics about your FAQ groups:

  • How much your knowledge base has grown over time
  • The total number of public FAQ page views over time

Although Admin users can view statistics for all FAQ groups, Regular users can only view statistics for the groups to which they're assigned.

Viewing your FAQ statistics

To get started, go to Stats > FAQ Entries (or by going to Answers > FAQ Entries and clicking on the Statistics tab).

Monthly Knowledge Base Growth

The Monthly Knowledge Base Growth report provides a month-by-month breakdown of new FAQs added to each group, vs. the total number of FAQ entries. The report includes a stacked column chart, which can more easily help you see the overall growth in FAQs over time.

  2. To hide a status from the chart, click on it in the legend. Click on it again and it will reappear.
  3. To export the chart, click on the menu () button and select an output format.

Total FAQ Public Views

The Total FAQ Public Views report shows the distribution of each group's public page views by month. This report includes both a data table and a stacked column chart, which can help you see the overall trend in page views over time.

Example of the Total FAQ Public Views report

  1. Hover over any segment of the chart to view the associated number of page views.
  2. If analyzing all groups at once, click on a group in the legend to hide it. Click on it again and it will reappear.

Exporting your FAQ statistics

To export the currently filtered statistics report, click on the  Export Stats tab at the top of the page. This will generate and download a CSV containing only the data tables from your statistics report. (You can download each chart separately -- see the above section for more info.)
