Tickets & Passes: Activate LibAuth authentication for bookings

In this article

LibAuth authentication can be activated for the passes booking page to require patrons to log in before completing the form to book a pass. While the same LibAuth configuration will be used for all institutions, you can create overrides for greater flexibility:

  • Individual institutions can apply different group rules, if applicable to and configured for your LibAuth type.
  • Individual institutions can have LibAuth completely turned off, so no login is required.

Activate LibAuth authentication for tickets & passes

  1. Go to Admin > Tickets & Passes.
  2. Click the LibAuth tab.
  3. In the Authentication Method panel, choose your desired LibAuth Configuration from the dropdown.
  4. If applicable and desired, set a LibAuth Group Rule.
  5. Click Save.

Turn LibAuth off for all institutions

  1. Select Inactive from the LibAuth Configuration dropdown.
  2. Click Save.
    • This action automatically removes all overrides and group rules set for individual institutions that may have been applied in the Overrides / Group Rules panel.
    • If LibAuth is activated again—whether for the same or a different configuration—any previously set overrides for individual institutions will reappear, but the group rules will need to be set up once more.
