Sharing a guide on Twitter and Facebook

Private and Published guides can be shared on on your library's Twitter feed and Facebook page. This is a great way to let your followers know about new content. But before you can start sharing, your LibApps admin must first connect your library's social media accounts in your LibApps Social Channels settings.

Once those are ready to go, here's how you can share your guides:

  1. Edit your guide and click on the Edit Guide button (it will reflect the current status of your guide).
  2. Select Change Status & Share from the dropdown.
  3. In the Guide Status window, click on the Social Sharing tab.
  4. To share your guide on Twitter:
    • Click on the Twitter tab and select the account you want to use.
    • If you'd like, you can customize the text of your tweet. The Live Preview will update automatically as you make changes.
    • If you've already created a guide thumbnail, it will also be included in the tweet.
    • Once you're ready, click the Tweet button.
    • Want to send the tweet from another account? No problem! Just click on the Tweet from Another Account link.
  5. To share your guide on Facebook:
    • Click on the Twitter tab and select the account you want to use.
    • If you'd like, you can customize the text of your post. The Live Preview will update automatically as you make changes.
