Managing your LibGuides system settings
The System Settings area of your LibGuides site (from Admin > System Settings) allows admin accounts to control general settings related to system information; proxy, guide and search options; analytics code; access rules; and accessibility.
- System and institution information
Contains general information about your LibGuides system.
- Proxy and library systems
Allow you to integrate external systems with LibGuides.
- Guide options
Allow you to customize the default settings for your guides.
- Search options
Allow you to customize the default search scope of your guides, as well as whether or not to allow your site to be crawled by search engines.
- Add Google Analytics or other custom analytics code to LibGuides
- Access Rules (CMS only)
Allow you to restrict access to your LibGuides site, specific groups, individual guides, and/or e-reserves based upon a user's IP address or by authentication users via LibAuth.
- System settings: accessibility (CMS only)
Allows you to enable (or disable) the use of the H1 and H2 heading choices in the rich text editor.
