Getting to your account settings
When logged into LibStaffer, you can manage your personal account settings by clicking on your email address in the navigation bar.
This will take you to your Manage Account page, where you can customize your account settings and profile information.
LibApps account info
LibStaffer is part of your library's LibApps platform, which gives you one user account that you can use to access all of your library's Springshare products. When you're logged into LibStaffer, you are using your LibApps user account. Certain information, such as your name, email address, and password, are all managed there, since they move with you between Springshare products.
If you would like to edit that information, click on the Go to LibApps button under the Manage Account tab. Keep in mind that the email address you enter is what you'll use to log into LibApps/LibStaffer in the future. It's also where you will receive email notifications from LibStaffer, as well.
Once you've finished changing your Account Information and other LibApps account settings, you can return to LibStaffer by clicking the blue LibApps button in the navigation bar and selecting LibStaffer from the dropdown menu.

If you are assigned to multiple schedules at your library, you may find it convenient to choose one as your default. Your selected default schedule will display first when you click the Schedules link in the navigation bar, though you can still easily switch between your other ones on the Schedules page.
You can find this option under the Manage Account tab of your LibStaffer account settings.
- Selecting your default schedule
Learn how to choose the schedule that displays by default when you visit the Schedules page.
Within LibStaffer, you can choose to display a profile picture and/or contact phone number in the staff information area. Currently, your profile info is optional and only viewable by schedule admins.
You can customize your picture and phone number under the Profile tab of your LibStaffer account settings.

Setting your available hours allows your schedule admins to know when you're available to work each day of the week. You can choose to set entire days as available, or not available.
On days you are available, you can indicate which times of the day you're available. This could either be one continuous block of time (e.g. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), or you can specify multiple blocks of time to accommodate things like class schedules (e.g. from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., then from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., etc.).
You can update your hours under the Manage Available Hours tab of your LibStaffer account settings, anytime your availability changes. However, please keep in mind that this will not remove you from shifts you're already assigned to work.

Under the Calendar Sync tab of your LibStaffer account settings, can enable and mangage optional integrations with LibCal, Outlook, and Google Calendar.
LibCal Appointments sync
If your library subscribes to LibCal and you have Appointments enabled for your user account, you can enable LibStaffer to set you as unavailable during your scheduled appointment times. That way, you won't accidentally be assigned to shifts during times that conflict with your appointments in LibCal. (You can also set LibCal to show you as unavailable during your scheduled shifts!) Please note that enabling this will not remove you from shifts you're already assigned to work.
- Syncing your LibStaffer availability with your LibCal Appointments
Learn how to enable syncing your LibStaffer availability with your scheduled appointment times in LibCal.
If you use Outlook (including Exchange and Office 365) to manage your calendar, you can sync your LibStaffer shifts to it automatically. When enabled, an event will be added to your Outlook calendar each time you are assigned to a shift. As your shift assignments change, the synced events in Outlook will update accordingly. This can help you easily keep track of your upcoming shifts right alongside the rest of your meetings, appointments, and other calendar events.
Optionally, you can also choose to sync your Free/Busy times in Outlook with your LibStaffer availability. That way, you'll be listed as unavailable for shifts during events on your Outlook calendar. (Please note that enabling this will not remove you from shifts you're already assigned to work.)
There are two available methods for syncing with Outlook:
- Azure OAuth 2 authorization (recommended): this provides both an easier and more secure way of connecting LibStaffer with your Outlook calendar. A LibStaffer admin must first set up the Azure OAuth 2 integration in your LibStaffer system settings before users can enable this for their accounts.
- Password authentication: this method allows you to connect to your Outlook calendar using your server/host address, username, password, and email address (this data is encrypted). However, unlike with the Azure OAuth 2 method, you must remember to keep these credentials up-to-date if your password, etc. changes.

Google Calendar sync
If you use Google Calendar to manage your personal calendar, you can sync your LibStaffer shifts to it automatically. When enabled, an event will be added to your Google Calendar each time you are assigned to a shift. As your shift assignments change, the synced events in Google Calendar will update accordingly. This can help you easily keep track of your upcoming shifts right alongside the rest of your meetings, appointments, and other calendar events.
Optionally, you can also choose to sync your Free/Busy times in Google Calendar with your LibStaffer availability. That way, you'll be listed as unavailable for shifts during events on your Google Calendar. (Please note that enabling this will not remove you from shifts you're already assigned to work.)

LibStaffer can send you email and/or SMS notifications for things like given up shifts, swap requests, pending time off, etc. You can manage which ones you would like to receive under the Email & SMS Alerts tab of your LibStaffer account settings.
For each available notification, you can choose to receive it via email, SMS, email & SMS, or not at all.
